Deb's thoughts: Flat paintings are not in my wheelhouse. They have to stir excitement through movement and color and this was essential for my first butterfly painting. The assortment of butterflies needed to be different yet cohesive; aimed in a single direction and coming from all angles. There is a point of entry and a fluid motion that carries your eye along.
